Dettol // Anti-Bacterial Laundry Cleanser.

A recent study looking at what lives on children’s clothes before and after washing has revealed that 1 in 4 are contaminated with bacteria after being washed at 40°C with school pants and jumpers harbouring the highest contamination levels overall! The nationwide study, undertaken in conjunction with NetMums, exposes Britains school uniforms and adds to a growing bank of scientific research revealing how low-temperature washing and modern laundry trends have created a new breeding ground for germs and bacteria in the family washing basket.

I've been using Dettol Anti-Bacterial Laundry Cleanser, Fresh Cotton for two weeks now, On Ava's school clothes, Ivey and Indy's nursery clothes, Our bedding and the puppies blankets/beds. And I have to say, I love it!! Clothes come out smelling so fresh and clean.
I suffer from bad skin conditions, Acne, Rashes and prickly heat. I need to watch what products I use on my skin and clothes in-case of flare ups. I was so happy after using Dettol on my bedding and waking up without any rashes at all!! So it's safe to say, It's gentle on your skin.

It's easy to use, Just do your usual washing routine, After you've added your normal detergent, Just add 2 capfuls of the Dettol fabric softener into the drawer of your washing machine, Turn the machine down to 30°. You can also use it for soaking clothes!
It will be a product I will continue to use, That's for sure!

Blair Drummond Safari Park

It's my nan's last couple of days in Scotland, She flies back to Australia on Wednesday. We'll be so sad to see her go. She treated us all to a day at the Safari Park. We had the best day and the girls were SO well behaved.
We got super close to a Rhino and some of the petting farm animals.
I cannot wait to take the girls back another day in the very near future.

the highs & lows.

What a week we've had, Full of ups and downs.

We've had a lovely week with our charming girls, Celebrated my father-in-laws birthday and spent time my my nan who's over from Australia and I went out for a beautiful dinner with the lovely ladies in my family.

If you have me on facebook or you yourself live in Scotland, You'd know that we've been fighting for Independence, We were rooting for Yes, To give our girls a better future, To help them, and their future children. Everything we do is for them
We got so close, Yes were even in the lead for a while but unfortunately the No vote won.
We're not sure what the future has in stock for us now, We can only wait and hope for the best I guess.

We had more bad news when our little pup, Abel hurt his leg. After a very expensive vet trip, We were told he has broken his leg.
He needs rest 24/7 for 4-6 weeks. With regular vet check ups and antibiotics, It should heal perfectly.
My heart is breaking for him. I hate seeing him so helpless, He's only a baby.
We're still not even sure how he done it. All we know is he stretched up onto the dining room chair and started yelping very, VERY loudly. I'm thinking maybe he hurt it during the night and completely broke it by straining it when he stretched.  We'll never know, All we can do is care for him and make sure he's comfortable, He already has all the love in the world.

I hope your week has been less stressful and less expensive as ours!!
Thank you to everyone who has sent your well wishes to Abel, I appreciate it so much.

I'm still here

With the girls back at school and nursery, We're finally back into a routine, after 7 weeks of no routine during the holidays.

Ava has settled right in to Primary 2, And Ivey and Indy are loving their morning nursery class, Instead of the afternoons they had last term.

Stu currently isn't working so i'm kinda enjoying the extra time we have together (Some days he drives me crazy, I'm so used to him not being at work during the day. I shouldn't complain, He makes me great cuppas.)

Here's what we've been up to according to Instagram recently.

We love throwing up the peace sign, Incase you didn't notice.
Indy is going through a "No photos" stage. I remember Ivey going through that stage and now she's the biggest poser ever!

Who doesn't love stripes?

I love stripes, If you've been to my house you would know this as soon as you step in the door, It's full of monochrome stripes.

If you're after a way to bring stripes into your home but don't know where to start, Here's a few ideas.

  • Large Storage Bags are great, We have one for laundry and one for the girls toys, They look great and hide everything perfectly.

  • Striped bedding is a simple option that will keep the bedroom looking fresh.

  • Vases are such a lovely addition to any home and make a nice little feature point.

Hope you enjoyed my ideas, I'd love to know how you would mix stripes into your home?

What Ivey Wore // P9

Mini Rodini A/W Drop one, So much to swoon over and I had to stop myself buying the lot, I'm so excited to see the rest of the collection.

We settled on this on this Weightlifter dress. It arrived the next day, Little bigger than last season I found, but looks lovely oversized. Ivey just loves it and calls it her "Muscle man dress".

Mini Rodini is my favourite kiddy brand, I love their all over prints, Thick organic cotton and they wash like a dream!
What is your favourite brand for your little ones?
